Hop on our floating classroom to get a front row seat to LakeSmart properties on Great Pond. This program, led by a LakeSmart representative, will follow the shoreline of Great Pond, pointing out properties that have received a LakeSmart award, and discussing the importance of reducing erosion into the lakes.

LakeSmart

LakeSmart is a state-wide education and outreach program that promotes managing lakefront properties in water quality friendly manor. LakeSmart is the flagship program of Maine Lakes, partnered with 7 Lakes Alliance as a regional hub and your local lake association.

Meeting Location:

This program will meet at 7 Lakes Alliance, 137 Main Street, Belgrade, ME 04917. Here, we will gather and review boat safety, board the 7 Lakes Alliance Floating Classroom (22 ft pontoon boat), and venture out onto Great Pond.

What to Bring:

7 Lakes Alliance will provide lifejackets,  for all attendees

• We ask everyone attending 7 Lakes Alliance events to treat people, plants, and animals with respect.
• 7 Lakes staff may be taking pictures during this event. If you would not like to be photographed, please let staff know during the event or contact staff ahead of time.
• Pets will not be allowed at this event.
