This walk will start at the Mt. Phillip Lower Trailhead and will follow the connector trail between the Upper and Lower trailheads. This area is wet\, which ferns appreciate\, so dress appropriately. We will be on level ground\, and on board walks\, and walking fairly slowly to fully appreciate the nature around us. Ferns are some of our oldest vascular plants and there are about 60 different species in Maine\, and will encounter a few common species on this walk.
