DESCRIPTION:View the expanse of land conserved by 7 Lakes Alliance from the comfort of our 22 foot education boat! \n \nAll aboard the 7 Lakes Alliance Floating Classroom for a tour of conserved land led by Land Steward Dan Woughter and Captain Sal. This tour will highlight the importance of land conservation in the effort to safeguard the water quality of the lakes we know and love. \nThe Floating Classroom has limited capacity so registration is required. If you have any questions about registration or this event\, please email sally.whittington@7lakesalliance.org. \nMeeting Location:\nThis program will meet at 7 Lakes Alliance\, 137 Main Street\, Belgrade\, ME 04917. Here\, we will gather and review boat safety\, board the 7 Lakes Alliance Floating Classroom (22 ft pontoon boat)\, and venture out onto Great Pond. \nWhat to Bring:\n\nsun protection\nwater\nsnacks\n\n7 Lakes Alliance will provide life jackets for all attendees. Life jackets must be word at all times while on the floating classroom. \nEvent Policies\n\nWe ask everyone attending 7 Lakes Alliance events to treat people\, plants\, and animals with respect.\n7 Lakes staff may be taking pictures during this event. If you would not like to be photographed\, please let staff know during the event or contact staff ahead of time.\nPets will not be allowed at this event.\nSafety is our primary concern. If you are acting in an unsafe way\, 7 Lakes Alliance will ask you to leave the event.

DESCRIPTION:All aboard the Floating Classroom to learn about our loons! \n \nEnjoy some time on the water and some time talking about loons with Maine Master Naturalist and Loon Restoration Project Volunteer Susan Cottle.  Perhaps we’ll espy (from a safe distance!) or hear the call of one of our loon friends while we are out.  But we will certainly talk about their lives\, what causes problems for them\, and how we can help them as we enjoy being on Great Pond. \n  \nMeeting Location\nThis program will meet at 7 Lakes Alliance\, 137 Main Street\, Belgrade\, ME 04917. Here\, we will gather and review our destination\, board the 7 Lakes Alliance Floating Classroom (22 ft pontoon boat)\, and venture out onto Great Pond.
