Come join us for presentations from the Colby College Environmental Science Capstone Students who spent their semester working with Dr. Aleja Ortiz on measurements and modeling of boat wakes and erosion on East Pond! These are preliminary results from a new grant awarded to Dr. Ortiz, Dr. Alison Bates (Colby), and Dr. Danielle Wain (7 Lakes) from the Maine Water Resources Research Institute to study the impact of large boat wakes on shoreline erosion.
