About The Event
Join us in an afternoon of maintenance on the Sanders Hill trail in Rome. Generally, this trail is in good shape, but has some wooden bridging that is beginning to be unsafe and needs to be replaces. We will take apart the old bridging, haul in new wood, and construct the new bog bridges. If time allows, we will also do another routine maintenance tasks on the trail.
Driving Directions to Trailhead: we will meet at the Sanders Hill Trailhead on Watson Pond Road, about a mile south of Route 27.
Tasks will include:
- carrying in wood to be used on the new bridging
- taking apart the old bridging and moving it out of the way
- prepping the trail for a new bridge
