About The Event
Welcome back, Chuck Hulsey, Inland Fisheries & Wildlife biologist! Chuck will be leading us on a short hike or snowshoe trek while teaching the basics of animal tracking. We’ll be on the lookout for footprints, scat, and other signs of wildlife. 7 Lakes Alliance and Chuck will provide animal tracking cards and posters for use in the field. Meeting Location:
Round Top Trailhead Parking Lot in Rome, located near the corner of Watson Pond Road and Wildflower Estates, 4 miles south of Watson Pond Road’s junction with Route 27 (44.530198, -69.922054).
Hike Description:
We will be walking from the Round Top trailhead, across the street, and down an access road to 7 Lakes Alliance's Homestead Nature Center, approximately 0.2 miles. We will then have the option to walk the newly constructed wheelchair accessible trail (0.3 miles) and around…
