Erosion policy manager joins team

Lynn Geiger has joined the 7 Lakes Alliance staff in the newly created position of Erosion Control Policy Manager.

Geiger will be responsible for advancing 7 Lakes' erosion control policy and programs, including working with municipalities to advocate for consistent and effective ordinances and enforcement. She will work with the organization's Lake Science team on improved metrics and on evaluating the effectiveness of 7 Lakes' erosion-control work. She will coordinate policy priorities with our on-the-ground erosion programs (LakeSmart, Youth Conservation Corps and Clean Water Act grants).

Geiger earned a bachelor's degree in geoscience from Wellesley College and master's degrees in aerospace engineering from MIT and in civil and environmental engineering from Duke University. For the past six years, she has worked for Lockheed Martin. Geiger currently assists the China Lake Association with watershed management. She grew up in Minnesota, so lakes hold a special place in her heart.
