If you have any questions about live staking and growing buffer gardens for reducing erosion\, email stuart.cole@7lakesalliance.org.  \n  \nLearn about Live Staking with a hands-on demonstration from our Shore Corps Steward – Daniel Sylvester. \nLive stakes are dormant branches that will sprout roots when planted properly. Daniel will talk about the benefits of live stakes\, how to harvest them\, and how/where to plant them. \nWe will be retrofitting the riprap on Rome Town beach with live stakes\, to increase habitat and shoreline stability. Live stakes are also a great way to jumpstart a buffer.
