All aboard the 7 Lakes Alliance Floating Classroom for a natural history tour of Great Pond led by 7 Lakes Alliance’s Captain Sal. This tour will highlight the natural environment and the importance of land conservation in the effort to safeguard the water quality of the lakes we know and love.
The Floating Classroom has limited capacity so registration is required. If you have any questions about registration or this event, please email sally.whittington@7lakesalliance.org.
Meeting Location:
This program will meet at 7 Lakes Alliance, 137 Main Street, Belgrade, ME 04917. Here, we will gather and review boat safety, board the 7 Lakes Alliance Floating Classroom (22 ft pontoon boat), and venture out onto Great Pond.
What to Bring:

7 Lakes Alliance will provide life jackets for all attendees. Life jackets must be word at all times while on the floating classroom.
Event Policies
- We ask everyone attending 7 Lakes Alliance events to treat people, plants, and animals with respect.
- 7 Lakes staff may be taking pictures during this event. If you would not like to be photographed, please let staff know during the event or contact staff ahead of time.
- Pets will not be allowed at this event.
- Safety is our primary concern. If you are acting in an unsafe way, 7 Lakes Alliance will ask you to leave the event.
