We are thrilled to share some incredible news – as of April 16, 2025, thanks to your generous support, 7 Lakes Alliance has officially conserved the 170-acre East Shore of Long Pond (Haynes) parcel, a truly remarkable stretch of undeveloped land along Lower Long Pond.

This special property, with 1,250 feet of pristine shoreline, century-old hemlock, and pine forest, 25 acres of wetlands and a series of vernal pools, will now be protected forever. Its natural, unspoiled beauty plays a crucial role in safeguarding the water quality of Long Pond, as well as preserving peace, quiet and the dark night sky.

Because of you, this land will remain a nature preserve – forever open space and habitat for wildlife and for people to quietly connect with the natural world through low-impact nature-based recreation for many, many decades to come. This is your meaningful gift to future generations.

From the bottom of our hearts, and on behalf of the entire Belgrade Lakes community – thank you. Together, we did something truly lasting.

In gratitude,

Chris Monz, Laura Rose Day, Laurie Raleigh, Jennifer Warriner, Noah Pollock, Dan Woughter and the entire team and board of 7 Lakes Alliance.
